3 Fence Cover Ideas for Outdoor Events

Fence covers are a great way for event and festival organisers to advertise your events and brand to the public.

Choosing the right fence cover, scrim or barrier jacket can not only promote your upcoming outdoor music concert or sport event, but also offer privacy. Knowing how to maximise the use of your fence covers can help you increase the awareness and visibility of your festival or event.

Fence covers are also important if you are hosting a festival at a park as it can cover the gaps that are left between the fences, thus providing additional security to the performers, staff, and audience.

We have some ideas that you can use to implement fence covers for sporting events, festivals and much more.

What are Fence Covers?

A fence cover is often used both on construction sites and events to promote their latest housing development or festival. They are often used as an advertising tool for brands to market their services or products, while providing safety, privacy and crowd management.

Music Festivals

If you are holding a music festival in a field or park, using fence covers can be a good opportunity to advertise it to as many people as possible.

Understanding the area and conditions where you are holding the event can have a major impact on the visibility and awareness of your festival. If the area you’ve placed the fence covers is prone to high winds, we recommend securely fastening the covers with metal eyelets and reinforced edge strapping. Once you’ve done this, feed the cable ties through each eyelet to secure it into place. This will ensure that the cover doesn’t come off the fence.

Instead of opting for thinner debris netting, we also recommend choosing 150GSM material fence covers which are three times thicker but are perforated to allow for wind flow.

You also need to think about how long you are planning to use the fence covers to advertise your festival. Are you holding it over the weekend or for a longer period? This can help you decide upon the right fence cover to use as part of your festival’s marketing strategy.

Our plain heras fence scrim is a great way of providing privacy to your festival so that your area is protected from the weather and any unpaid attendees from coming in.

Major Sports Events

No matter how big or small your sports tournament or match is, printed fence covers can make a fence look more appealing to fans. They can also be used to provide sponsorship space for your sponsors, allowing them to showcase their brand, as well as increase revenue.

Alongside our fence covers, you can use crowd barrier jackets and scrim, ensuring that the safety and organisation of your event is taken into consideration.

Classic Car Shows

If you are holding an outdoor classic car show, you want to make sure that all the vehicles being showcased are protected and out of view from the public.

Heras fence covers can be also used to guide visitors around the venue, as well as advertise various classic car clubs and manufacturers. For example, you can divide the area of the show into different sections. We recommend using a double-sided fence jacket, which can display signs from front and back to direct attendees from one area to another. Also, you can use our branded scrim to create low-energy ticket barriers to admit visitors into the show.
